“Live the life you’d be envious of if you saw someone else living it… -Olivia Munn”
Helllllooo beautiful people and happy Monday!! How is everyone doing?
Things are hectic over here for me right now, but I’m absolutely obsessed with the weather. I never thought spring would come!! Although, I am looking forward to fall right now!
This quote is a big one for me, and I’m excited to start off the week again by sharing my thoughts!
You can do literally anything you want
How many times have you had a friend (or anyone really) who you get jealous of because you want their life? It can be that they travel more than you, they’re in shape, they have a cool job, they started their own business.. literally anything! It can be the worst thing to just sit on the sidelines and live out a really cool life.
I know I have!! I’ve spent countless months just wishing I was living their life. One day I realized.. I could. If you want to learn a skill, you can. If you want to go somewhere, you can. If you want to get in shape, you can.
Instead of sitting on the sidelines and watching someone else live that life, why dont you get in the game?
Dont let fear stop you
So I was thinking, what causes us to not do what it is we’ve been dreaming (or secretly being jealous) of? I think its the fear of failing. I talk a lot on Mondays about not letting fear stop you from going after it. But, it doesn’t have to be a huge dream you’re going after!! Sometimes the small changes that we can make are the ones that we dont try.
A lot of people sit on instagram and are jealous of the ladies who do their makeup and dress well every day. Theres nothing stopping you from doing that too!! I think sometimes the fear of change is what keeps us sitting on the sidelines, green with envy.
So today, go for it
Do your makeup. Go to the gym. Dust off your piano. Learn that language. Be the person you want to be.
I’m proud of you.
“Live the life you’d be envious of if you saw someone else living it. This is my personal mantra. Whenever I’m going through a difficult time, like a breakup, and I’m wishing to be the person who could get over it and move on, I tell myself to be that person. Instead of waiting to be inspired by someone else and being jealous that they’re living a life I wish I had, I tell myself not to wait for that moment and to start being the person I want to be. If you wish you were the woman who went for that big promotion, learned a second language, dumped that guy who cheated on you, then just be that person. Think, if I have the energy to wish for it, I have the energy to do it.” – Olivia Munn
