My World

An Open Letter to the Dreamer

Dear Dreamer,

I see you out there. Waking up every day and trying your best. I know that sometimes you get frustrated, I see the moments where you aren’t sure if you want to give up. And I see you continue trying. Every. Single. Time. Not because someone is going to see you, but because you made a promise to yourself.

I see you trying to explain it the people who dont see your dream like you do. You have a vision that they cant see. The non-dreamers will never understand. They tell you to get a grip and settle. But, you and I both know that anything is possible.

And it doesn’t matter what your dream is. Maybe you want to change the world. Maybe you want to change your life. Maybe you want to get out of that job that is sucking the life out of you. Maybe you want to travel. Maybe you’re just fighting to make your way back home. Whatever it is that you’re dreaming, let me tell you that its possible.

Maybe you started with a ton of motivation and are losing it. Maybe you’re feeling more motivated than ever. Remember why you started, and keep going.

What if you don’t know where to start?

My advice to you? Just start!

I was you once, with a dream in my head and not sure how to get it out into the world. I was looking for that perfect idea and couldn’t find it. I still would have been stuck if someone hadn’t given me the advice I’m about to give you…

Just pick something and roll with it. Even if you dont have it all figured out, just take what you have and act on your dream. Dont look for validation in your actions.

The world would be a very different place if dreamers kept their dreams to themselves. Your dream is a unique calling that is yours alone. Nobody else can go after it for you.

The world is starving for people who are willing to dare greatly.

On those nights when you cant sleep because the possibilities are keeping you awake, get up and get after it.

Dont be afraid of the early mornings and late nights spent chasing your dream. They’ll all be part of the story that you tell your grandkids.

All it takes is an idea and some determination to make your dream come alive.

And, if anyone ever puts you down, remember that you’re in good company. People like Oprah, Steve Jobs, Walt Disney, and even Martin Luther King Jr. have stood at the same spot you’re standing at now. What if they had given up?

So go make your dream real. Do more than is necessary. Prioritize it over anything else. Get organized. Stay focused. Tell the world about it! The world is counting on you to make your dream come true, even if it doesn’t know it yet. You will be the ones who push the future forward. All it takes is some grit, and a whole lot of resilience. Dont be afraid to fail, because it will happen along the way.

You’ve got this. I believe in you. And if theres anything I can do to help, let me know!
