You’ll never change your life until you change something you do daily. The secret to your success is found in your daily routine.
Good Morning everyone and HAPPY MONDAY!!
I hope everyone woke up today, pumped and ready to start a new week! If not, hopefully this quote helps. This one is literally my mantra. As I’ve gone through my life I’ve found this over and over again to be true. Small things, over time, add up to crazy amazing results.
Quite literally, the secret to success
Everyone (especially in this world of personal development blogging) is always looking for the next cool fix to save 1 hour per day, or to make $4,000 dollars overnight, or to improve everything in your life immediately (with minimal work). Let me let you in on a secret:
There is no secret.
If you wanna be successful, you have to work for it. Theres no way to get around that. And no matter what you want to be successful in, its going to take repeated, consistent effort. Its not pretty or glamorous. But, thats how you do it.
But, there are ways you can make sure that your effort is being used to the fullest extent possible.
“The secret to your success is found in your daily routine.” When you choose something that you want to make a small improvement on, and you let that improvement become a habit, it will make a huge impact over time. And, the only effort that you had to put in was the effort to make that small improvement a habit. Then we can build on those habits and continue adding more.
If you could choose between having a penny that doubles every day for 31 days or $3 million right now, what would you choose? Right off the bat, if you chose the penny you’d look dumb compared to your friend with $3 million. Even on Day 10 you only have $5.12. By Day 20, you’d still only have $5,243. But, on Day 31, you have $10,737,418.24. Three times more than $3 million.
Just imagine what that same idea could do to your life.
My favorite personal development book of all time (also where the penny story comes from) talks about three guys. One stays the same. One decides to eat just a few less calories, walk a little more, and read more books. One decides to start baking, and buys a big TV so he can watch more of his favorite shows. For months, you dont see any difference. But, over time, Guy #2 has lost 60 pounds, gotten a promotion because of the gained knowledge from his books, and is experiencing a ripple effect throughout his whole life. Just from a few small changes. But, Guy #3 has gained weight, is more tired, and is doing poorly at work. This created a negative ripple effect. Just from a few small changes.

The Bottom Line
So, if you’re looking for success in any form, look at your daily life. Even the little things that seem insignificant may have significance. The way your daily routines have looked so far have gotten you to where you are now. So, what routines will get you to where you want to be? Chances are, they’re marginal changes.
Time is going to pass either way, so why not let it work for you instead of against you? Its no secret that almost every CEO has a specific morning/evening routine they follow. The secret to your success is in your routine, too.
Have a great week everyone!! Thanks for stopping by!
